Happy 2022 ! We hope you had an incredible holiday season and an amazing start to the new year. It always tends to get a little hectic around December with all the family celebrations, dinner parties, and gift shopping! January gives us time to reset and get back into the natural flow of things. After all the Christmas stresses, going into a new year is like a fresh start but this year is a little different. We are back to some uncertainty as new restrictions are introduced in the efforts against Covid-19. Naturally, this means we'll be spending more time at home with the little ones.
We made a list of 3 unique at home activities to keep your kids entertained and occupied throughout the day!
We did this over the holidays and the kids absolutely loved it. Learn how to make a card board box car here! The snack basket is a fun theater like touch that will have the kids loving it! Add some pillows, blankets, and their coziest PJ's for a special movie night.
2. Have an Indoor Picnic.
Want to have a fun lunch or snack time? Lay down one of your summer blankets and have an indoor picnic with their favourite yummies. Add some books and pillows for an after meal chill session. Click here for some inspiration.
3. Have a Treasure Hunt
Put together a fun little treasure box with treats and activities like a colouring book so they stay entertained after they find it! Make simple clues leading them to familiar parts of the house and lead them to the treasure. Click here for a simple guide on how to plan one.
We also ALWAYS need some comfortable outfits for those stay at home days so here are a few essentials!
This brushed bamboo stretch fleece is truly one of the most luxurious fabrics we have ever felt! We just HAD to make it in our basic romper style, which feels like a big warm hug all over. It is the perfect essential for a cozy day spent with the kids!
If you are feeling more like a dress then a romper this is the perfect piece. It is so comfy but also looks incredible. This good-for-everything dress features a rounded neckline with a button up side for tons of versatility. Button up for a slim fitted look, or leave open for a wider hem line. We love how this can be dressed up with minimal effort or un-styled for a perfectly casual look.
We hope these ideas inspired you to plan some fun activities and lounge around! Comment below and let us know what your favourite at home activities are! Thanks for reading.
