BC SPCA rescues animals from abuse and works to protect and enhance the quality of life for all animals in B.C. BC SPCA is an organization who’s dedicated to help bring justice to animals who cannot speak for themselves and who are desperately in need of a voice (and CARE)!

There is a shocking number of animal cruelty cases reported every day, and many more cases that don't even get reported. Unfortunately, the BC SPCA does not receive any provincial funding to assist with animal cruelty investigations. An average of $2.5 million per year is spent in order to investigate and help animals living in severe and life-threatening circumstances. SPCA rely on generous donations from supporters to help ensure the end or animal cruelty in B.C and offer care and love to all animals.

There are many ways to support this cause, such as the Paws with a Cause organization! Every September animal-lovers gather to walk pets and help raise awareness and donations for animal cruelty. Also, sign up for the SPCA newsletters to get the latest news and events. There is even a monthly newsletter just for kids which includes animal stories, pet care tips, crafts, jokes, events and contests.

Lav and Kush have also raised funds to donate to Backpack Buddies!

Backpack Buddies is a charity organization to help kids who are going hungry. BC has the highest child poverty rate of any province in Canada. Everyday, thousands of children in our communities are going hungry. Backpack Buddies provide backpacks full of meals and snack for these children.

The Women’s Health Foundation is B.C’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the full spectrum of women’s health. They ensure that all women are equipped, have access to high quality healthcare, and get educated on their bodies. This organization helps women from all walks of life with a number of concerns and needs. Some of these include, research, Indigenous and culturally safe health care programs, mental health, sexual and reproductive health.
