Challenging Times and How We Adapt as a Small Company
In this uncertain climate, it’s hard to predict how to move forward. A small business with a slow fashion mindset, we’re looking at ways to adapt and ways to succeed, making smaller collections and releasing fewer capsules — Next drop coming April 2020!
In this critical time, we think that it’s more important than ever to be transparent about our process and how we handle your order. Below are some of the measures we’re taking to ensure the safety of you and our community, as well as some of the things you can do to help minimize risk and stay healthy.
Our fabrics have been stocked in our warehouse for months prior to being cut for production. Research in the New England journal of medicine found that the virus (COVID-19) can live on cardboard for up to 24 hours, and on plastic and stainless steel for two to three days.
That’s a long time, but the review also found that those viruses can be “efficiently inactivated” via disinfection with “62-71% ethanol, 0.5% hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% sodium hypochlorite within 1 minute.”
Our garment and fabric handling is limited to a small team of two sewers in the lower mainland. it is then couriered to our additional two team members to stock items and ship orders.
While we strongly encourage you to be mindful of receiving parcels from delivery persons or the post office, we assure you…
We are extremely diligent in ensuring proper safety measures are in place whilst handling your garment.
If you are in doubt, open your package outside, bring your goodies in, wash your hands… And enjoy your new piece if luxury.
